This trophy, which will be known as the John Potter Memorial Trophy, is presented to the South Bay Scooter Club by William B. Gordon as a memorial to the late John Potter who was lost in a boating accident on 12 December 1967.
This shall be a perpetual trophy and will be raced for each season as early as ice conditions permit. The race will be run according to the shingle rules of the South Bay Scooter Club as approved by the Race Committee.
If at any time racing for this trophy is discontinued the trophy will revert to the Gordon family.
